Dan Cooper, Fall From Ruin, LILA and TNT have all made it into the final for Gloucester’s Battle of the Bands, taking place in Kings Square on Saturday 17th August, from 12noon to 5pm
The four bands and artists are battling it out in the hopes the judges will crown them the winner, with the prize being a professional recording session at The Music Works
Judges include Jon Smith (Breakfast Presenter on BBC Radio Gloucestershire) and Cllr Caroline Courtney (Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure)
Colliers’ retail and leisure destinations in Gloucester are teaming up to host the city’s very own Battle of the Bands, with a professional recording session with The Music Works ready to be claimed by the band crowned winners of the live music event.
From dozens of entries, the following bands and artists have made it through to the live final:
Dan Cooper – experimental electronic pop with elements of spoken word/R&B
Musicians: Dan Cooper
Fall From Ruin – a melodic originals rock band with vocal harmonies and searing guitar solos
Musicians: Michael Pasby, Alan Connolly, Melissa Danielle, Sam Bailey, Cameron Packer
LILA – a trio of musicians who create a sound full of pounding rhythms and angelic harmonies
Musicians: Lisa Jenkinson, Gav Jones and Tabby Orwin
TNT – a rock and pop three-piece band
Musicians: Timothy Cowling, Nigel Boateng and Torby Ellen
Battle of the Bands is set to take place between 12noon and 5pm on Saturday 17th August at Kings Square.
The bands will each perform on stage, with BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Jon Smith and Cllr Caroline Courtney among those judging the bands.
Once crowned, the winning band will have another opportunity to perform for the crowd and take home the prize of a one-day recording session with The Music Works worth £300. During this session, the winning band or artist will get the chance to track and produce a live recording of their chosen song.
