The Forum Q Park car park opens in Gloucester

The King’s Quarter has confirmed that the brand new multi storey car park at The Forum is now open to the public. Located on Station Road, the car park is fully operational and marks another milestone in Gloucester’s ongoing regeneration. The facility is operated by Q Park and is now welcoming drivers into the city centre.

The Forum car park is a standalone facility and is separate from the King’s Walk car park. All parking enquiries, payments, and customer service issues must be directed to Q Park, who manage the site independently. This distinction is important for drivers planning their visit to the city.

The new car park offers 398 spaces and operates 24 hours a day, providing flexible access for residents, workers, and visitors. Drivers benefit from ticketless, barriered entry, with online pre booking available. The site also includes 38 electric vehicle charging points and 15 disabled spaces, alongside clear pedestrian routes into the city centre.

One of the car park’s most striking features is its large vertical garden. The 600 square metre living wall is made up of 48,000 plants and has been designed to boost biodiversity and improve air quality. The installation captures the same amount of carbon dioxide as 32 mature trees, helping to create a greener city centre environment.

As part of the wider changes taking place at The Forum, the new car park will play a key role in supporting access into Gloucester. Its opening comes at an important time as the city prepares to welcome increased footfall during the Christmas period. The development reflects continued investment in practical infrastructure that supports future growth.
